Multipurpose Super Green Super Sauce
A critical strategy to reducing your food waste at dwelling is mastering to use similar substances in different techniques.
I originally created this sauce as a salad dressing. I had leftover spinach that was wilting, alongside with a huge basil plant in the garden. In lieu of pesto, I thought I’d make a tremendous nutrient-loaded salad dressing.
Use What You Have
I was inspired by some viral cooking videos displaying how to make a “Green Goddess” dressing, making use of avocado and parsley. I did not have either of those people, so I substituted other environmentally friendly things.
Instead of avocado, I used spinach and olive oil.
As a substitute of parsley, I employed basil and mint from my herb backyard garden.
We ate it over our salad for evening meal, and I had rather a bit leftover.
Double Obligation
The following working day, I made the decision to consider the sauce above some cheese tortellini with spinach that I experienced leftover from two times in the past. One more wonderful zero waste cooking recipe is born!
This simple to make sauce doubles as a salad dressing/veggie dip/veggie sauce, or a pasta sauce. Take pleasure in!!
